CEO and Content Developer

Brandi Hester- Harrell is an educator of 15 years committed to community change in and outside the classroom. Using a transformative approach ensures teachers and students have the necessary tools and feedback to ensure the personal transition. Throughout her career, she has been able to work throughout the spectrum of K-12 and higher education as pathways to support students of color.

Primarily serving in communities of color, the resounding feedback from all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and students, is that the curriculum and supporting materials never create an authentic space for black and brown experiences. Supporting over 2,000 students throughout her career became the driving force for her active community change.

Her revolutionary approach to change continues through policy advocacy allowing countless legislators in Colorado and Pennsylvania to reform the recruitment and retention of teachers of color. Her community describes her as a woman of many gifts: educator, policy junkie, author, advocate, and social change disruptor.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with my partner and children. Travel has always been her truest therapy, traveling to over 30 countries.

Motto

“I tell my students, 'When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else.”
